Please join us in welcoming our newest sales manager, Nathan Gorny, to the Cooperative! As our membership reaches record numbers, growth of our sales team was necessary to maintain our high-quality level of service. By educating plan sponsors on how our organization can provide the right pharmacy benefits for their clients, Nathan is able to save members money and add value to their benefit plans.
Originally from South Bend, Indiana, Nathan obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Actuarial Science from Indiana University South Bend. “I’ve always been drawn to numbers and the idea of modeling theoretical situations and predicting one’s financial future,” Nathan says.
Staying true to those words, Nathan spent the first ten years of his career as an insurance agent, working at various property and casualty insurance companies during that time frame. When he came across the position at National CooperativeRx, he was eager to make a switch.
“I was interested in this prospect because I had been wanting more growth opportunities and control over my future,” Nathan says. “Also, the insurance aspect is similar to my previous background so I knew I would be a good fit.”
Kyle Kapusta, Director of Sales and Marketing, echoes that statement. “Nathan has the drive and dedication that we look for in our sales team. I am pleased we were able to hire him at the Cooperative and am confident he will succeed in maintaining relationships with our partners and forging new industry connections.”
Having been with us for just over a month now, Nathan is excited to get on the road and meet our members, brokers and agents. “Although it will be a little longer than I anticipated, due to the coronavirus pandemic, my main focus is growing the Cooperative in areas we don’t have a large presence in yet,” Nathan says. “Until then, I’m poring over our sales deck and making as many virtual connections as I can right now.”
When Nathan isn’t finding ways to connect with new and existing partners, he enjoys trying new Mexican restaurants and watching sports, especially Notre Dame football. “I’m super excited for the Notre Dame vs. Wisconsin game at Lambeau Field this fall,” Nathan states.
