Jacki Fritsche: Director of Clinical Services

We are pleased to introduce Jacki Fritsche, PharmD, BCPS, as Director of Clinical Services at National CooperativeRx. Jacki leads the Cooperative’s clinical strategy and operations, evaluating in-house clinical program performance, developing and implementing new initiatives, and guiding the clinical team. She also collaborates with our executive leadership to foster innovation and support continuous improvement across the Cooperative.

Jacki holds a Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Introduced to pharmacy at an early age by her mother, who worked in an independent pharmacy, she initially envisioned a career serving patients in a community setting. During and after pharmacy school, she gained hands-on experience as a retail pharmacy intern, staff pharmacist, and later pharmacy manager. After 14 years, Jacki sought new challenges and broader perspectives, leading her to accept a role as a clinical prior authorization pharmacist at a pharmacy benefit manager (PBM).

Jacki started in the prior authorization department, reviewing medication requests using predetermined criteria, clinical judgment, and peer-reviewed references. She then moved to the grievance and appeals department, conducting first-level clinical appeal reviews for commercial and Medicare Part D clients. Promoted to supervisor and then manager, Jacki transformed a small team into a department more than six times its original size. She oversaw operations, implemented scalable workflows, and introduced process improvements that ensured compliance, efficiency, and member satisfaction.

Jacki was excited to join National CooperativeRx to broaden her experience in clinical program development and strategic account management. “I’m motivated by fresh experiences and exploring new areas of pharmacy,” she said. “I look forward to putting my knowledge and leadership skills into action to support the team and advance the Cooperative’s mission.”

Outside of work, Jacki has four kids who are all active in sports, which has earned her the self-proclaimed title of “professional Uber driver.” When she is not attending their games, she enjoys cheering on the Packers, Brewers, and Badgers, golfing in the warmer months, and skiing in the winter.
