Jaimie Rushton: Administrative Assistant

We are pleased to announce our administrative assistant, Jaimie Rushton, as the newest National CooperativeRx staff member! Jaimie works closely with our director of operations to ensure company procedures and the office run smoothly. Some of her main responsibilities are planning company events, coordinating marketing materials for staff and providing excellent member service.

An Indiana native, Jaimie obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science from Purdue University. “I’ve always been fascinated by wildlife and my dream job would be a wildlife television expert or host,” Jaimie says.

After Jaimie moved to the Madison, Wisconsin area, she transitioned to the administrative field, coming to the Cooperative from an architectural firm. “Although I enjoyed the work I was doing, the housing industry is not one I’m passionate about and I was seeking more job stability and growth opportunities,” Jaimie explains.

Having been with National CooperativeRx for a little over a month now, Jaimie is satisfied with her career change. “I never thought I would experience job searching during a pandemic,” Jaimie jokes, “but I’ve found the company culture to be extremely welcoming and supportive and am anxious to get to know my coworkers better once working in the office becomes more routine.”

When asked what she is most looking forward to with her new role, Jaimie expressed her excitement to learn more about the pharmaceutical industry and to sharpen her skills with Microsoft Excel. “Besides the fact National CooperativeRx is in my preferred job industry, I was intrigued by their not-for-profit stance, transparency and member-oriented values.”

When Jaimie isn’t training for her new role and meeting her new coworkers virtually, she is busy catching up on The Office and Hannibal, two television shows she binge-watched during the stay-at-home order, and enjoying the nicer weather as of late. She also enjoys painting, playing video games and reading — her latest read being Good Economics for Hard Times.
