15 Questions: Luke Bowman

Luke Bowman is the newest strategic account executive at National CooperativeRx. He works with members to understand their options and implement the best plan design for their organization. I recently sat down with Luke to ask him 15 questions about his life both in and outside the office.

Famous person you’d like to dine with? Elon Musk, the inventor of SpaceX and Tesla. I’m obsessed with physics and space technology and find him to be one of the most knowledgeable people on that subject.

Favorite movie? Tropic Thunder, hands down. The Tom Cruise cameo is hilarious.

Best vacation spot? New Zealand, so far.

Favorite restaurant in Madison, WI? Greenbush Bar.

Secret talents? I can juggle and count cards.

Last meal on death row? Pizza topped with pepperoni, banana peppers, spinach and onions.

What’s your perfect day? Grilling on a beach and doing any water-related activity.

First thing you’d buy if you won the lottery? Whatever my wife wants! And a boat.

Greatest role model? Definitely my mom. She raised two young boys as a single parent while working full-time and I think we both turned out okay!

What do you hope to achieve here in the next five years? I hope to continue to grow with our clients and provide additional value through cost savings and clinical program management.

If you could switch jobs with someone in the office for a day, who would it be? I’d switch with our CEO, Josh Bindl, so I could understand the depth of the role. Plus, it would be nice to be the boss for a day!

Advice to a new employee? I’d want them to understand how the Cooperative acts as a lead to our clients and consulting teams and makes the process easier for not only them, but CVS/caremark as well.

If you weren’t a strategic account executive, what would you be? A physicist or astronomer.

Life motto? “Whatever you are, be a good one.”

How do you get involved in your community? My wife and I attend the annual Dog Paddle fundraiser at Goodman Pool, which supports the Madison Police Department K9 unit. We bring our dogs and they can swim all day for a great cause! Click here to see a picture of last year’s fun!
